Astrid van Erk

Astrid van Erk, MSc., is a lecturer at the bachelor safety and security management at Avans University of Applied Sciences, Breda. As researcher for the Social Resilience in the Digital Society Research Group of Avans, she is involved in research projects which focus on the moral, ethical and organizational perspectives of social resilience in the digital society. Astrid got her master’s degree ‘Implementation and Change Management (ICM’ at the Open University, Heerlen. From 2017 to 2020 she was the Chief Information Security Officer for the Municipality of Breda. In this role she was responsible for development and implementation of an information security program. One of Astrid’s key interests are the human aspects of digital transformation.
