#Art_In_Context - a project with work by five female Breda artists in differently styled settings
#Art in Context
Art in Context is a live event where interior stylist Femke Baten and independent art curator Petya Chalakova share their shared passion for art in the interior. The special thing about this project is that it shows in a practical way how art can enrich your interior at home and is not only beautiful in the museum.
You can visit the exhibition from 2 to 4 March (just before International Women's Day). The works of five female artists from Breda can be seen in differently styled settings. The exhibition takes place in the heart of Breda at Brandpunt: living room for every quirky Bredanaar.

As art curator, Petya Chalakova is responsible for the process surrounding the exhibition and has put together a group of five artists: Melanie Drent, Evi Hogervorst, Hanneke de Leeuw, Daphne Schrijver and Liesbeth Godrie.
Masterclass & Artist Talks
On Saturday 4 March there will be a masterclass in addition to the exhibition. In this, visitors are inspired how to use styling art to make the most of your interior.
There is room for a maximum of 15 participants. In addition, if there is sufficient interest, the masterclass can also be followed online.
The 'Art in Context' Masterclass consists of:
- a lecture by interior stylist Femke Baten
- a tour of the exhibited works and styled contexts
- an active workshop in which we immediately put what we have learned into practice
Who is this masterclass for?
- for everyone who does not yet have art in their home, but would like to
- for everyone who has art in their home and is looking for tips on how to make the most of your purchased work
- for anyone interested in the interaction between visual art and interior styling
During the masterclass topics such as:
- in what kind of space do you use what kind of art?
- how do you find the right place for your artwork?
- how can I best illuminate or highlight my work of art?
- which wall color does my work of art stand out best?
